Ladies and Gentlemages,
I am pleased to announce that the Fairy Fest Sign Up is now completely Filled up --> fav.me/d4pujyx
And while Fairy Fest does not officially begin until March 1st, I'm here to make some preliminary announcements.
First thing, the TEAMS are 99.9% decided on, so a post letting you know what TEAM you will be in will be coming out this FRIDAY or SATURDAY... I decided to bump this up in order for the teams to have ample time to come up with a team name (you can start thinking about that now, but ultimately ALL members must agree with the name to be used... and NOTE: no Fairy tail guild names can be used as team names... think of it as your own OC guild... you need your own name).
I, unfortunately, am having computer issues, but my wonderful admins have been so kind as to take over most of the running of Fairy Fest, so the tournament will go on as scheduled, with each team leader taking one week as their own to MOD.
The schedule of events has changed as to the 8th week because we didn't have enough AMVers to participate. HOWEVER, if any group decides they'll work around the talents of all its members to try and create an AMV for that week's "FREE FOR ALL", that's perfectly acceptable.
HOW FAIRY FEST WILL WORK
Participants are divided into 7 teams of 6 members each (plus a group admin as your Team Leader).
In each of the 8 weeks there will be 2 events : (1) a Team-Event ; (2) an Individual Contest
In the TEAM EVENT all the members of the team will work together on some project which will be made to fit the weeks Theme.
Everyone has to participate in all the team-events. (yes, unfortunately that means you drawers will have to try and write for the round robin... and the writers will need to help for the doujin manga page... but there are ways around this so no worries)
In the INDIVIDUAL CONTEST one member of each team will submit an entry at the end of that week to be put up against competition with the other entries from the other teams.
Every member has to participate in at least one individual contest.
The Individual Contests alternate between Writing and Drawing each week. So be sure to sign up with your team leader early if you want to get a writing or a drawing. Also if you're a colorist only or a lineart/sketcher only, my advice is to try and get the week of the drawing tag-team (week 3).
The Week's MOD will compile a blog explaining the week's events (rules and submission process and any administrative stuff) and also send out a NOTE to each Team Leader
Each Team Leader is responsible for facilitating communication between the members and determining what the team will be doing, as well as informing the Week's MOD who the INDIVIDUAL CONTESTANT will be (so that the MOD can add it to his/her blog... good idea to have a backup though just in case something unexpected, like my laptop breaking, happens)
The Team Leader is responsible for sending out Info to the team members on SUNDAY starting that week
The Team leader is responsible for collecting the group and individual entries and submitting them to the Week's MOD.
Submissions should be turned in no later than SAT, otherwise you get 0 points.
for the two "Race" Events (scavenger hunt and 1/2 the puzzles events) the submissions should be sent in ASAP
After all the team leaders submit a note with the TEAM and INDIVIDUAL events deviations and hands it into that week's MOD, the MOD will post a POLL (if needed) to vote, and our GROUP will vote (all votes will remain open for 1 week, and posted either the following week or all at the end of the tournament... we haven't quite decided this yet).
Drawings and writings will all be POSTED on DA
TEAM QUESTS/CHALLENGES
the Scavenger Hunt will be sent in as THUMBNAILS for FANART/COSPLAY (all found on deviantart), LINKS for FANFICTION (all found on fanficition.net) and WORD-ANSWERS for "manga clues" in a NOTE to SerenEvy
Week 2 RIDDLE answers/guesses can only be posted on DA Journals AFTER March 18th, before that they have to be sent in a note to YOUR TEAM LEADER, who will send them to DreamSkyPixel
Week 3 puzzle will be screencapped and posted and then send as links to your TEAM LEADER who will send the "fastest times" for the jigsaw puzzles at the end of the week, but will send all other puzzles as quickly as they come in (this is half race)
Weeks 4 - 8 can be posted in each team member's gallery, but must give credit to all other teammates in the artist comments.
INDIVIDUAL CONTEST
Each participant can upload their submission to Deviantart and then link to the deviation to their team leader who will send it in to that week's MOD.

WEEK 7 : April 15th - 21st
• THEME : MANGA WEEK
• MOD :
• TEAM CHALLENGE/QUEST --> Single-page Manga (prompt to be assigned) Writers can write Dialogue. Must have some kind of "scene" or story in that single-page (can be up to 10 panels, as little as 2)
• INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION --> Drawing (Prompt to be assigned 15th)
WEEK 8 : April 22nd - 28th :
• THEME : FREE FOR ALL WEEK
• MOD :
• TEAM CHALLENGE/QUEST --> "Let your Creativity Flow"
(groups start whatever creative project they come up with on week 1 and turn it in this week)
---Can be Manga/Doujin, Multi-chapter story, Story book (with writers writing and drawers creating illustration --> ), An OC guild/team complete with info sheets and back story, AMV, etc etc etc... really anything your imaginations can come up with... you have 8 weeks to work on this.
• INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION --> Writing (Prompt to be assigned 22nd)
WEEK 8.5 : April 29th - 30th :
• THEME : CLOSING CEREMONIES
• MOD :
• Points Totaled and winners & prizes announced
